Daycare Cribs, Commercial Cribs with CPSC Standards

Daycare centers, or infant day care facilities will require commercial cribs that meet U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission standards. Our commercial daycare cribs meet these guidelines unless otherwise stated. Remember, commercial and or public facilities must use a fire evacuation caster set for safety. NOTE: On December 28, 2010 the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) implemented sweeping new crib safety standards for traditional cribs made from steel and wood. In addition to eliminating drop-sides, they require extensive new structural enhancements, new labeling, and allow for alternate designs for accessing infants such as a drop-gate crib side. Under the new guidelines no traditional cribs, neither fixed-side nor drop-side, may remain in service after December 28, 2012 that are not compliant to these new standards and, as a result, must be replaced.
NOTE: Check with you state and local licensing agency. Some states may choose to implement this standard before the deadline.
