S206 Act concerning playground safety and supplementing the State
Uniform Construction Code Act, has adopted the CPSC Handbook for Public
Playground Safety or any successor as mandatory New Jersey Standards for
all new Playgrounds. For existing playgrounds, they require compliance
with surfacing guidelines by Octoner 18, 2004 for all owners and set
October 18, 2007 as date for equipment complaince for public and
privately owned playgrounds. Not -for-public agencies have until
October 18, 2014 to comply with equipment guidelines.
